LOCAL PARTS: an ideas exchange hub
You have a story to tell
and there are many ways to tell it.
It might take the shape of a song, an essay, a film… or maybe, a play? But as a musician speaks through melody and a filmmaker through images, how does one tell the story through the stage?

Speak the language.
Join PAT VALERA, playwright of Mula sa Buwan, Dekada '70: The Musical, and Bar Boys: A New Musical for an intensive six-session Introduction to Playwriting workshop that uncovers the unique language of the stage and the art of theatrical storytelling.Through an appreciation of theater’s essence — its history, philosophy, and collaborative nature — you’ll gain insight into what sets the stage apart and how to begin shaping your voice for it.WHEN: Six days within FEB 27-MAR 8, 2025
